Chief Bonehead Class 2025 Recap
/The Fall 2025 Chief Bonehead Class event has come and gone. As with the previous six classes, I had a great time. Many of you are probably expecting my detailed report about what we saw and heard during the class. Unfortunately, Klipsch corporate mandated that we could not take pictures and could not talk about what we were shown until there is an official announcement about this (likely next year). ☹ I can say that the event was not about the Heritage Subwoofers. However, Roy did show us “proof of life” for the project. I can’t say what that was either. Roy said that if it were up to him, the subs would be out already. To be fair, I can see why Klipsch had to release the new Khorn and La Scala (due to the end of life of the K-401 tooling) and this upcoming item first.
So, here are some pictures of the rest of the weekend. We listened to the Jubilees after the class, heard live music, had Roy’s famous fajitas, and watched some particle board Speakerlab bass bins burn. I made a custom t-shirt with a with an enlargement of the Roy head graphic from the back of the first Chief Bonehead Class t-shirt on the front to annoy Roy. I also got a handmade Klipsch pillow from the Museum gift shop for my Jubilee room.
Finally, a plug for the Klipsch Museum, who put on the event. If you have a chance to attend any of these events, you really should. They are fun and help fund the Klipsch Museum of Audio History (https://www.klipschmuseum.org/). Even if you can’t attend, consider donating to the Museum or even becoming a member to help them continue preserving Paul’s legacy and promoting STEAM education.
